General:

The DMX processor shall be a Flying Pig Systems Wholehog® III DMX Processor. The DMX Processor shall be available from High End Systems, Inc., 2217 West Braker Lane, Austin, TX 78758, USA.
The lighting control system shall be designed specifically for the control of stage, studio, touring and entertainment lighting systems.
A company having over 10 years experience in the control of entertainment lighting shall manufacture the lighting control system.
The equipment shall be ETL listed.
Systems that do not provide the features listed below shall not be acceptable.

Hardware:

The DMX Processor shall be a 1U 19" rack unit, 4.5" deep, with a machined aluminium face panel with wear-resistant anoprinted legends.
The DMX Processor shall be convection cooled and shall not contain any fans.
A universal 100 – 240V 50/60 Hz power factor corrected power supply shall be incorporated.
The DMX Processor shall have a 100Base-TX fast Ethernet connection on the rear panel.
There shall be four (4) isolated, half-duplex DMX512 ports on the front of the unit.

Operation

The Wholehog®III control system shall be expandable through the use of multiple DMX processors units.
In normal operation it shall be connected to a Wholehog III console or other Wholehog III compatible server by an Ethernet network.
The firmware shall be upgradeable over the network. No changing of internal components shall be required.
There shall be a user interface comprising a white LED backlit graphic LCD screen and three function buttons. There will be LEDs on the front panel giving essential status information.
